A Perfect Summer's Day, Dingleden
I decided to paint locally on Wednesday but wasn't sure what or where but set out looking for inspiration and spotted a field of long golden grass with some sheep grazing and others enjoying the shade created by the trees. The scene really appealed to me, so I obtained permission from the lovely land owner (at the delightful " Laurels Nursery") and set up my easel in their field.
The sheep were such good company - the majority of them ended up lying in the grass all around me (probably to utilise the shade I was in - but it was still very nice!). It really was an idyllic, perfect summer's day.
