In the orchard - late afternoon, late July
Enjoyed a few hours painting late afternoon yesterday.
Seeing the wonderful light, I set up in the garden looking into the old orchard. The long grass is providing cover for all sorts of ground-nesting birds and small mammals - as a result, we have so many birds of prey around this year. You often hear them before you see them.
