The Dutch Barn, Hawkhurst
I had a really great day painting yesterday. I drove to Hawkhurst to paint a view I have often admired. I found the location so interesting with the partly frozen pond, the gnarled oak tree at its edge and the fabulous Dutch Barn and other farm buildings on the horizon. It's a beautiful spot that I will definitely return to. The weather was cold (lots of layers involved), but thankfully no harsh wind - happy days!
