The allotment, Hawkhurst
For some reason I never posted this on my facebook page, so I don't have a diary note of the exact day I painted this one. I do know however that it was completed on a bright day around the middle/end of September. I had seen the amazing sunflowers when I had parked near the allotment the previous week and decided I should try to capture their brash beauty before they faded. I had a lovely day chatting with allotment holders as they went about their business and I was given a bag of freshly picked cucumbers by a lovely old chap. Delicious!.
