Saturday afternoon on the river, Newenden
I had a lovely afternoon beside the River Rother at Newenden. I have not painted down there for a few months, so it was good to get back to one of my favourite plein air painting spots. It was a hub of activity today - boats coming and going, kayaks being paddled, cricket being played on the village green and even some boisterous jumping into the river by a large group of adults and children towards the end of the afternoon.
