Mid afternoon, Benenden
Three little pastoral scenes completed today - painted in a field just down the road from our house. The farmer came along to herd up some of the sheep whilst I was there, so I became his gate assistant - opening and closing it behind him as he removed three trailers of ewes going to Ashford to be sold. I would have loved to have painted his beautiful Border Collie in action, but he was far too quick for me!
