Flooded fields, Newenden

I had a lovely day - I went to Newenden to paint the flooded fields. The water levels have thankfully subsided but there is still evidence of the floods, with logs floating in the river and debris all along the banks. The flood has clearly provided easy pickings for the seagulls - they were there all day. I really enjoyed it, although it's not easy walking around there at the moment - my boots were caked with mud by the time I had finished.

Oil on board, 30 x 40 cm.

"Highly Commended" in the Artist Category, Patchings 2014 Competition/ Exhibition.

Available.
